A few weeks after his state visit to the United States, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to France as the guest of honor at France’s annual Bastille Day parade. The visit comes as France and India have sought to deepen their cooperation in the Indo-Pacific, and in the defense, security, and technological domains. It also takes place in the midst of expanding Europe-India relations more broadly.
On July 11, the Brookings Institution will host a webinar to discuss Modi’s upcoming visit to France, the development of ties between India and Europe, and how the China and Russia factors are shaping these dynamics.
