Christopher H. Herbst, PhD, is the World Bank’s Program Leader for Health, Education and Social Protection covering the Gulf Region: Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Oman and Qatar. Prior to that he worked as a Senior Health Specialist at the World Bank, managing lending operations and technical assistance programs in low, middle and high income countries in the areas of Health Systems Strengthening, Service Delivery, and Non-Communicable Diseases.
