In this presentation to the Welsh Assembly, Bruce Katz defined neighborhoods of deprivation in the United States, discussed their impacts, and detailed strategies that have been pursued in the U.S. to address areas of deprivation. The implications of the U.S. experience for the U.K. and Wales are then presented.
