Vice President, Development
As the Vice President of Development at Brookings, Lucy Kim is responsible for managing the Institution’s fundraising efforts and development strategy.
Prior to joining Brookings, Lucy served in several executive positions at Harvard University, most recently as Deputy Vice Dean of Development at the T.H. Chan School for Public Health. In this role, she oversaw all levels of fundraising and development strategy and managed volunteer leadership activities during the final two years of the record-breaking Harvard Campaign. Lucy has also held fundraising and management responsibilities at Harvard’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study.
Trained as an opera singer, she was previously the Administrative Director of the Boston University Tanglewood Institute, an intensive summer music training program for classical musicians of high school age.
Lucy earned a Master of Education in Policy and Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She also holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in voice performance from Boston University and the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, respectively. Lucy has led Public Narrative workshops for numerous advocacy organizations as a tool for community organizing, collective action, and social change.
