Tracy R. Wolstencroft

Tracy R. Wolstencroft is a senior advisor to TPG Rise Climate, the dedicated climate investment fund of global alternative investment management firm TPG.

A board trustee of the National Geographic Society from 2008-2021, he served as president and CEO of the Society in 2018 and 2019. He was president and CEO and later chairman of the global executive search and consulting firm Heidrick & Struggles, Inc., from 2014 to 2019. Previously, he had a twenty-five year career at Goldman Sachs leading a diverse range of businesses across Asia, Latin America, and the U.S., and was a member of the firmwide partnership committee.

Wolstencroft is chair emeritus of the International Rescue Committee and has served as a trustee of the Brookings Institution since 2009. He is a director of Rubicon Carbon, a next generation carbon market solutions provider and vice chair of Columbia University’s Center on Global Energy Policy. He is a member of the global advisory board of Macro Advisory Partners based in London and the Council on Foreign Relations.

He graduated from Bowdoin College with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and serves on its board of trustees.
