America’s metropolitan areas are hampered by a series of transportation challenges that is threatening their ability to remain healthy and vital and is sending warning signals concerning the U.S. role in the global economy. Unfortunately, transportation policies designed to deal with these challenges are either outdated, absent and aspatial, or compartmentalized. In this presentation to chamber of commerce executives Robert Puentes lays out the elements of a transportation agenda that works for metropolitan America and what role chamber leaders can play in advancing such policies.
