TechPolicy bridge brings together influential minds from technology, policy, civil society, and diverse academic disciplines, to promote AI technologies that not only push technical boundaries but also strengthen democratic institutions, advance economic equity, protect fundamental rights, and address our most pressing global challenges in ways that reflect our shared human values.
Through this series of convenings and research publications, Brookings, CMU, and UC Berkeley aim to advance research and policymaking that addresses foundational challenges in measurement and evaluation of agentic AI systems.
The Forum for Cooperation on Artificial Intelligence (FCAI), a collaboration between the Brookings Institution and the Centre for European Policy Studies, hosts regular AI dialogues among high-level officials from seven governments (Australia, Canada, EU, Japan, Singapore, U.K., and the U.S.) as well as experts from industry, civil society, and academia, aimed at identifying opportunities for international cooperation on AI regulation, standards, and research and development.
The Brookings AI Policy Idea Incubator is a consultative forum that engages stakeholders and experts to inform the policy debate around the economic impacts of AI, the best approaches for regulation, and how to solve potential safety issues. The Center will leverage Brookings’ unique convening power to bring together current and former policymakers and legislators, applied researchers from think tanks and academia, and technology and industry experts.
The Global Task Force on AI in Education is made up of education leaders and artificial intelligence experts from across government, multi-lateral institutions, civil society, teacher organizations, philanthropy, business and grassroots student and family networks. The goal of the task force is to help ensure generative AI can be harnessed to transform education for the better by unlocking every young person’s full potential.
