Ben Swedberg is a senior research assistant at Brookings Metro, where his research focuses on transportation and the built environment. His recent work addresses the historic federal investment in infrastructure, particularly its execution through long-range and capital planning on the state level. He also supports the Federal Infrastructure Hub, a resource for decisionmakers and stakeholders at all levels of government seeking to understand how and where the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and Inflation Reduction Act make their investments.
Swedberg graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in computer science. Before joining the team at Brookings Metro, he worked at Arc XP at The Washington Post, where he leveraged his expertise in data migration to support customers migrating their content management systems.
