Aki Nemoto

Aki Nemoto is the director of finance for the Economic Studies program at Brookings. In this role, she provides strategic leadership in financial management and analysis, oversees program financial systems, and manages financial projects for the program budget. She also serves as the lead member of a flexible finance team, guiding collaboration and adaptability across ES financial operations. Prior to Brookings, she supported financial operations, including accounting, treasury, contract finances, and HR functions at Japan International Cooperation Agency USA office. Aki holds an MBA with an emphasis in procurement from Webster University, along with CPA, FPAC and CTP certifications.
