Wall Street Bonus Season

As Wall Street bonus season hits again — after massive taxpayer bailouts and with unemployment at 10 percent — the public and policymakers continue to be outraged over the sums being paid to the financial community, with the Obama administration now considering a tax on those bonuses. Douglas Elliott takes a critical look at compensation on Wall Street and says there are no easy answers; he also discusses the work of the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission which has its first public hearings this week.
