Human rights are challenged or violated in every corner of the world, every day. The abuses are often horrific. One of the most effective mechanisms for protecting human rights is through the work of the United Nations Human Rights Council. In the years since the HRC was established, its independent investigators have circled the globe to assess problems, to help prevent abuses and to offer solutions.
