Artificial intelligence (AI) is the transformative technology of our time. It is being deployed in many different sectors, analyzing data in real time, and making intelligent decisions based on that analysis. Yet despite its widespread utilization, AI has aroused a number of fears concerning fairness, bias, privacy, security, and human safety.
On November 17, the Center for Technology Innovation hosted a webinar to discuss the future of AI, how it is being deployed, and the policy and legal issues being raised. Speakers explored ways to mitigate possible concerns and how to move forward safely, securely, and in a manner consistent with human values.
Viewers submitted questions for speakers by emailing [email protected] or via Twitter at @BrookingsGov or by using #AIGovernance.
