As the presidential candidates and their campaigns prepare for their party conventions this summer and the final frantic push to sway voters in the fall, Andrew Kohut of the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press will review the results of a new survey showing just how great the obstacles are to gaining the attention of the electorate in the final leg of Campaign 2000. Pew surveyed over 2,500 Americans in two separate national surveys in June examining voter attitudes toward the candidates, the campaign, and the news media.
Brookings Institution political experts E. J. Dionne, Stephen Hess, and Thomas Mann will be on hand to analyze the results of the study.
