Despite an economy that has started to regain its footing since the acute crisis one year ago, concerns about the future persist among business executives as well as government leaders, economists and, of course, the public. Future economic health and growth can only be ensured through a long-term, strategic approach to confronting the challenge.

On February 23, the Brookings Institution hosted Intel President and CEO Paul S. Otellini for an address on rebuilding the foundations of America’s growth based on investment in innovation, and in developing and engaging new talent.

In his remarks, Otellini described the need to create a culture of investment in the United States, including the role for American businesses to partner with the government in promoting education, innovation and the creation of new business opportunities in order to maintain a globally competitive economy.

After the program, Otellini took audience questions.
