On February 27, the Brookings Center on Regulation and Markets and Center for Economic Security and Opportunity will hold a virtual workshop designed exclusively for graduate students aimed at discussing the critical role of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in global financial markets as well as the significant contributions of economists in shaping public policy and conducting important research at the CFTC. This event is a unique opportunity for graduate students to gain an introduction to how economists leverage data to inform policy decisions and advance research, with a special focus on the resources available at the CFTC. The workshop is free but preregistration is required.
