Planning for New Orleans’ Demographic Future

November 11, 2005

Summary

In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, there is much speculation about the demographic future of New Orleans, ranging from prospects for a smaller, mostly white middle class population to one with in increasing Hispanic presence, as the rebuilding city becomes a magnet for low skilled labor.
