Education is an essential priority for India, both to equip people to function as members of society and also to keep them abreast of technology and developments that they will need in the workplace.
Rapid economic growth such as India enjoyed before the 2008 financial crisis is the most powerful force for bringing people over the poverty line. But we have to ensure that people are trained and have the skills to take advantage of the opportunity afforded by economic growth.
