Facebook’s offensive ad targeting

Nicol Turner-Lee, a fellow in the Center for Technology Innovation, explains the recent controversy surrounding Facebook’s offensive targeted advertisement options. She also discusses past digressions by Facebook and the future of regulating social media. Turner-Lee suggests that platforms like Facebook should have more conversations with civil rights and social justice leaders, academics, government officials, and others on what to do about speech online and platform violations.
