The revelation that Osama bin Laden was living in a house half a mile from the main Pakistani military academy has raised ticklish difficult questions about the relationship between the United States and Pakistan, and about the billions of dollars in American aid that flows to the Pakistani government. Expert Michael O’Hanlon says that while it’s important to re-examine the relationship after Bin Laden’s death, it remains in the interests of both countries to keep the channels of communication open.
