At a meeting of the National Neighborhood Indicators Partnership (NNIP) in Minneapolis, MN, Alan Berube reviewed the strengths and limitations of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) from a metropolitan perspective, highlighted opportunities for creative implementation and examples of metropolitan areas adopting innovative approaches, and suggested possible roles that NNIP organizations could play to ensure more strategic use of ARRA funds in their home cities and regions.
