Our short courses develop critical skills and advance your career path.

Through a mixture of lecture, case study, breakout discussions, and hands-on experimentation, you’ll build connections and fully engage in our vibrant class settings. Our immersive courses are designed to maximize your learning experience.

In-Class Experience

We’ve got logistics covered, allowing you to focus on learning from and connecting with seasoned experts in policy and leadership. Class sizes are limited to ensure optimal classroom engagement. Expand a section below to learn what to expect in each type of course.

  • In-Person courses

    Classes typically meet 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM on two consecutive days.

    • Continental breakfast opens at 8 AM
    • Lunch provided (1 hour break)
    • Two short breaks (mid-morning and mid-afternoon), depending on the flow of the course

    Helpful Hints:

    • We recommend business casual attire and dressing in layers as classroom temperatures fluctuate.
    • All materials are electronic; please bring a device (e.g. laptop, tablet, or phone).

    Available Facilities:

    • A private wellness room with a lock, chair, small refrigerator, and power outlets

  • Live Virtual courses

    Virtual courses often meet in multiple 3-4 hour sessions held weekly.

Communication About Your Course

We send a welcome email approximately 2-3 weeks before your course (or upon later registration) with specific information about your course, including:

  • A brief introduction to the course and instructor(s)
  • Expected lunch break and end time for each session
  • Prework (and readings, if applicable) and/or course agenda
  • Information about dietary requests and accommodations
