Shannon Meraw is the Senior Director of Communications and External Engagement for the Economic Studies program at Brookings. In this role, she oversees all aspects of the program’s communications strategy and processes—including digital marketing, press and stakeholder outreach, branding, website presence and content development, and events—to promote the program’s researchers and work. Prior to Brookings, she managed media relations, web content, and events for Tax Analysts, a nonprofit publisher of tax policy news and analysis under the Tax Notes brand. Shannon holds a B.A. in Persuasive and Political Communication from George Mason University.
