The risks of climate change are clear: rising global temperatures are causing more frequent, severe weather events impacting homes and businesses; degrading ecosystems and infrastructures; creating instability in households’ access to food and drinking water; and posing hazards to the health and economic wellbeing of communities. At the same time, investments in clean energy and sustainability solutions are generating abundant opportunities. The 2024 election sparked a debate about the level of risks and opportunities posed by a changing climate and what actions ought to be considered to help stakeholders adapt and accelerate the transition to a carbon neutral, resilient, and sustainable future. This will be one area where the international community will be watching how the U.S responds and leads.
