The Urgency of Comprehensive Immigration Reform

The controversy spawned by Arizona’s recent passage of a immigration law hasn’t abated. Both those in favor of the strict legislation and those opposed continue to wage a war of words, actions and threats over the law, which requires police officers to question anyone suspected of being in the United States illegally. Arizona’s bold move has pushed the immigration issue to the forefront and helps clarify the need for the federal government to enact comprehensive reform policy, says expert Audrey Singer.
