Punya Mishra is a nonresident senior fellow with the Center for Universal Education at Brookings. He is director of innovative learning futures at Arizona State University’s Learning Engineering Institute and a professor in the Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation.Â
Mishra is internationally recognized for his work in educational technology, creativity, and design-based educational innovation. He co-developed the TPACK framework for technology integration in teaching. A TED-Ed educator and fellow of the American Educational Research Association, he is ranked No. 44 among university-based scholars with the biggest influence on educational practice and policy. His current research focuses on generative AI in education, examining how it reshapes cognition, communication, and learning systems.
