Nicole Bateman is a former Senior Research Analyst at Brookings Metro. Bateman’s research and analysis focused on workers and the labor market, with a particular focus on improving outcomes for those our economy most often leaves out or leaves behind. Prior to joining Brookings, Bateman served as a Graduate Research Assistant with the University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Policy and Governance and a Graduate Intern with the City of Seattle. Bateman holds a master’s degree from the University of Washington in public administration and a bachelor’s degree from Seattle University in Political Science.
