Grace Cannon is a senior project manager at the Center for Universal Education (CUE) within the Global Economy and Development program where she supports the Network for Education Systems Transformation (NEST).
Grace’s career has focused on creating high quality experiential learning opportunities as well as changing the systems that serve youth and young adults in Philadelphia. Grace recently served as director of program design and planning at the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Parks and Recreation. In this role she was responsible for launching new evidence-based programs in playful learning, social entrepreneurship, and youth engagement, as well as raising resources for those efforts. Earlier in her career, Grace worked in public education by serving at the School District of Philadelphia in its offices of Educational Technology and New School Designs, and as Youth Build Philadelphia Charter School’s director of curriculum and instruction. Grace has experience with community-based education, reentry services, as well as youth and adult workforce development systems. She received her Master of Education in art education from Temple University and a Bachelor of Arts from Bryn Mawr College, where she studied sociology and printmaking.
