Aaron Shroyer most recently served as the special assistant to President Joe Biden for housing policy at the White House National Economic Council. In this role, he led the development and implementation of the Biden-Harris administration’s housing policy agenda. Earlier in the Biden administration, he served as a senior policy advisor at the Department of Housing and Urban Development and a policy advisor at the Domestic Policy Council. Before his federal service, Shroyer worked at the Urban Institute, where he advised governments and foundations on policy and grantmaking strategies related to housing and community development. Shroyer began his career working for the city of Kansas City, Mo. Shroyer has a bachelor’s degree in government and a master’s degree in leadership and public policy, both from the University of Virginia.Â
