Dedicated to Executive Education
Robert S. Brookings—founder of the Brookings Institution and longtime benefactor of Washington University in St. Louis—advanced public service as a force for good, a vehicle for positive change and an instrument for solving problems.
In 1916, Brookings worked with other government reformers to create the first private organization devoted to the fact-based study of national public policy. One of his goals was to educate a select corps of public leaders for the challenging work of government.
WashU at Brookings
A century later, WashU at Brookings carries his vision forward. The Brookings Institution partnered with Washington University in 2009 to create Brookings Executive Education (now WashU at Brookings). WashU Olin and WashU at Brookings provide best-in-class learning for business and government via courses, certificates and custom programs.

Based in Washington, D.C., the nonprofit, nonpartisan organization conducts independent research on a broad range of economic, social and security issues. Brookings scholars are internationally recognized for their subject-matter expertise.
