The Policy Forum on National Service is bringing together leaders from the public, corporate, and nonprofit sectors to discuss the future of national service as part of City Year’s five-day annual convention, cyzygy ’03. Panelists will discuss the rise of an ethic of service, the practical successes of the service movement, and the relationship between rights and responsibilities in a democratic society. The Forum will feature contributors to United We Serve, a new Brookings publication edited by E.J. Dionne Jr., Kayla Meltzer Drogosz, and Robert E. Litan. This collection of essays by influential Americans addresses the importance of the national service movement in the aftermath of September 11.
