Event Report
This was an exclusive, expert roundtable discussion on “U.S.-India Defence Cooperation: The Path Ahead”. The discussion featured, among others, Ms. Leanne Caret, President & CEO of Boeing Defense, Space & Security and was chaired by Dr. Harsha Vardhana Singh, Executive Director at Brookings India.
With cumulative defense sales crossing $8 billion dollars in the last decade, the U.S.-India defence relationship has become a key element of the overall bilateral partnership. Defence ties also encompass regular high-level talks and exchanges, frequent military exercises, and the beginnings of defence co-production and co-development. Sustaining engagement and cooperation will be critical in the coming years under Donald Trump’s presidency.
The discussion was private, off-the-record and under the Chatham House Rule.
