In this book, Wolfgang Reinicke examines many of the challenges confronting Europe as it begins a new era. Currently, the countries of Central and Eastern Europe are struggling to build market economies and multiparty democracies, and the European Community is divided on the future course of integration. Reinicke develops a series of policy recommendations to address these challenges.
