The Brookings Institution has launched an election series of author lectures at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics, part of Saint Anselm College in Manchester. In the free events, Brookings experts are discussing their books as they relate to politics, policy, and the 2016 elections.
On September 22, Vice President and Director of Governance Studies Darrell West spoke about his book, “Billionaires: Reflections on the Upper Crust” (Brookings Institution Press, 2014).
On October 20, Senior Fellow Emeritus Stephen Hess talked about his new title, “America’s Political Dynasties; From Adams to Clinton” (Brookings, 2015).
The next lecture in the series features Elizabeth Kneebone, a fellow in the Metropolitan Policy Program, for a discussion “Confronting Suburban Poverty in America” (Brookings, 2013) which she co-authored with Senior Fellow Alan Berube.
More lectures are planned for 2016.
