On February 27, the Metropolitan Policy Program at Brookings hosted a conversation with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. You can get full audio, video and video clips here. During the conversation, Mayor Emanuel told a moving story about a young man he met at a basketball clinic sponsored by the city. Watch below:
“These are good kids,” the mayor said. “Invest in them. Give them a shot.”
The young man, Martell Cowan, then-16, spoke about the meeting to NBC 5 Chicago after it happened.
