The Fed’s quantitative easing program and ultra-low interest rates will eventually come to an end, with purchases of new securities by the Fed potentially being reduced as early as this autumn. Financial markets are very focused on how this will occur and what effect it will have on securities of all kinds and on the economy as a whole.
