Defense in the Interwar Period as an Analog to Today

When asked for a historical parallel to today’s defense environment, many point to the early 1990s. In part of an interview series conducted with the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Peter Singer says the most analogous time might instead be the period between World War I and World War II. As an example, he notes that the United States is now in a similar strategic position to Britain back then.
