================================================================

Data provided are input-output (I-O) tables and final demand (FD)
data for 1993 through 2010 and projected 2020. In addition,
BLS also provides layout, description, and sectoring plan files.

The following ZIP, ASCII, and EXCEL version 2003 files are
provided.

The ZIP (version 8.1) files require users to copy the ZIP files
and unzip them using their own unzip program.

However, BLS provides a way to access PDF files for users who do
not have ADOBE. There is no charge. To open PDF files, go to
"http://www.bls.gov/bls/pdf.htm".

All of the ASCII and PDF files discussed below are contained
 outside of the ZIP files:

io_layout.txt Contains the layout of the
                                I-O and FD files
                                (ASCII file)

io_desc.doc Contains the documentation
                                pertaining to the I-O data
                                files
                                (DOC file MS Office 2003)

sect_final_demand_x190.xls Final demand sectoring plan
                                descriptions (203 sectors)
                                (XLS file MS Office 2003)

sect_industry_x195.xls Industry sectoring plan
                                descriptions (202 sectors)
                                (XLS file MS Office 2003)

Data files:

The data files contain tab-delimited data with no row or column
labels. Hence, the layout and sectoring plan files shown
above are also contained inside the data ZIP flies because
they are necessary for understanding the layout of the data.

Note that if one wants to convert these files to spreadsheet
formats like Excel, one must save the file first as a text
file. Then, open up the spreadsheet application and open the
file with the tab delimited option provided by the
application.
