Leah Sloan

Leah Sloan is currently an HR Communications Specialist in the Office of the Chief of Staff at Freddie Mac in Washington, D.C. Leah completed her three-year CareerWise DC youth apprenticeship at Freddie Mac as a Staff Accountant. During that time, Leah built a background in accounts payable, customer support, and data analytics and earned her high school diploma from KIPP DC College Prep. She also began her studies at Bowie State University in Financial Banking and Communications, where she currently takes courses online to enable her to work during the day. Over the past three years in the Enterprise Supply Chain at Freddie Mac, she strengthened financial procurement operations and earned a Financial Project Coordinating certification from Freddie Mac. After completing her apprenticeship in June 2024, Leah was promoted to the HR Communications Marketing Executive Team where she is excited to drive strategies that enhance employee engagement across the organization.
