Legal Status for Undocumented Young Immigrants Makes Sense

President Obama instituted a policy that clears the way for undocumented immigrants under the age of 30, with no criminal offenses who also meet other criteria, to live and work in the U.S. without fear of deportation. Critics assailed the action saying it’s an election year ploy, but Senior Fellow Audrey Singer says, given the enormity of the nation’s immigrations problems, it’s a step in the right direction.
