Improving Participation in American Democracy

The Campaign Finance Institute, American Enterprise Institute and the Brookings Institution have released findings of a new report endorsing dramatic change in the ongoing national dialogue about money in politics. The study offers a new vision of how campaign finance and communications policy can help further democracy through broader participation. Governance Studies Senior Fellow Tom Mann details some key points from the report noting that the digital revolution has and will continue to make an impact on how campaigns are waged.
