Air Travel Congestion in the United States

October 7, 2009

While air travel has made the globe and the nation more accessible, simply flying from one state to the next is often fraught with delayed flights, runway congestion and a host of other problems. The Metropolitan Policy Program at Brookings released a new study, Expect Delays: An Analysis of Air Travel Trends in the United States, which examines these air travel trends and their impact on travelers, the industry and our top metropolitan areas. Senior Fellow Robert Puentes, an author, says the findings can help policymakers address critical issues affecting the nation’s  transportation infrastructure.
