Ning Yu

Director of Research, Fellow, Fellow – Foreign Policy, John L. Thornton China Center

YU Ning is a fellow and director of research of the Brookings-Tsinghua Center for Public Policy (BTC) and a fellow of the John L. Thornton China Center. Before joining the Brookings Institution, he started his career as an assistant professor of Economics at Emory University, after receiving a Ph.D. degree in management from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a Ph.D. in economics from Stanford University. He studies the social and economic life in China and the United States. His articles have appeared in journals including Economic Theory and China Economic Review; he has served as anonymous reviewer for 12 international journals.
