Over 1.24 million people have been internally displaced in Ukraine and yet there has been relatively little attention to the serious humanitarian needs in the country.

On May 15, the Brookings-LSE Project on Internal Displacement in collaboration with HIAS will present a new report and host a discussion of the Ukrainian government’s response to internal displacement and how the international community can support those efforts. Speakers will include, Kateryna Moroz and Alyona Vynogradova of HIAS Ukraine (also known as “Right to Protection”) and François Stamm of the International Committee for the Red Cross (ICRC). Elizabeth Ferris, senior fellow and co-director of the Brookings-LSE Project on Internal Displacement, will moderate the event and offer opening remarks.

After the program, the panelists will take audience questions.
