Wang Tianfu was a nonresident senior fellow with the Brookings-Tsinghua Center for Public Policy, focusing on China’s social stratification, household wealth accumulation, urban change, and sociology of the family. He is a professor of sociology and the vice chair of the department of sociology at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Wang has published papers in Social Sciences in China and Sociological Studies and is on the international editorial board of Social Forces.
