For the past several decades, the rise in the price of higher education has posed a significant obstacle to many seeking additional schooling. In his new post, Robert Kelchen uses the net price of college attendance (the total cost of attendance minus the total grants and scholarships received by students with federal financial aid) to measure how affordable or, in many cases, unaffordable, higher education is for American students and their families.
