Why Copyright Law Allows You to Borrow a Book, But Not Share a Digital Song
In testimony last week to the House Judiciary Committee, nonresident senior Fellow John Villasenor offered his argument against modifying U.S. copyright law to introduce a broad digital first sale doctrine. He said that it “would lead to unintended consequences that would dramatically reduce the ability of content creators to be properly compensated for works sold digitally.”
