Jenny Perlman Robinson: Significant Challenges for Girls to Go to School, Stay in School, and Learn while There

August 26 is Women’s Equality Day, designated by the U.S. Congress to commemorate the anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution—enfranchising American women—coming into effect in 1920. Today, Jenny Perlman Robinson, a nonresident fellow with the Center for Universal Education at Brookings, joined in a Google Hangout sponsored by Camfed, the Campaign for Female Education, to discuss the challenges of educating girls worldwide.

Robinson notes in the video that while great progress has been made in getting more children, especially girls, into school, there are (at least) four key challenges that remain.
