Michael E. Collins, Jr.

Vice President, Housing and Financial Capability – National Urban League

Michael E. Collins, Jr. (he/ him) is Vice President for Housing and Financial Capability at the National Urban League. In this role, he drives the development, investment in, and implementation of interventions that foster increased housing stability, economic mobility, and digital inclusion.

Previously, Michael served as Program Director at Enterprise Community Partners where he played a lead role in designing and deploying pilot programs that increased the capacity of local non-profit agencies to support low-income New Yorkers. At Enterprise, he also led coalition building and advocacy activities in partnership with government, private industry, and nonprofit stakeholders aimed at protecting and enriching existing housing and economic resources. Prior to joining Enterprise, Michael worked in various roles – supporting philanthropic institutions, non-profit organizations, and financial institutions – supporting efforts to inform and increase economic and social opportunity for all. Michael earned his undergraduate degree in African American Studies from Morehouse College. He holds a Master of Public Administration from the City University of New York’s (CUNY) Baruch College. Michael lives in East Harlem.
