Mark R. Parris - Events
A former ambassador to Turkey, Mark Parris served as a career foreign service officer including posts in the Soviet Union, Israel and Portugal. He also was a policy advisor for the U.S. State Department and National Security Council. Parris directed the Turkey 2007 project at Brookings, which encouraged a focused, informed discussion on developments in and around Turkey during its presidential and general elections.
