Polarization in Egypt Continues as Parties Repeat Old Mistakes

As the third constitutional assembly in two years gathers to draft yet another constitution, the Egyptian people have never been so polarized. Many of Egypt's parties have refused to participate in a process while Egypt is fundamentally divided. H.A. Hellyer argues that during this crucial time, the interim government should focus on consensus-building first before proceeding with the constitutional process.
